The reserves' run of five straight defeats came to an end when they drew 0-0 at Windscale on Saturday.

It was a good point considering that the trip was one of their longest of the season, starting at 10 in the morning for a 2pm kick off.

Joint manager Mark Fanning said; “It was a good point considering a few factors.

“The pitch was fairly heavy, a couple of regulars were injured, and others were out of position. Tom Young, who is usually a midfielder, had a really good game at centre half.

“We maybe had the better chances, but couldn’t break through.

“All in all, we’re pleased wit ha draw because it’s stopped the run of defeats.”
