DOB: 05/06/1986

Leon is a product of the Middlesbrough Academy, and has played for Peterlee, Dunston, Newcastle Blue Star, Whitby Town (twice) , Harrogate Town, Shildon and Norton & Stockton Ancients. He is a strong powerful player who was one of the first signings of the Darlington FC renaissance in the 2012-13 season and finished the season with ten league goals from centre midfield.

In the 2013-14 season he played mainly as a central midfielder, and was injured in the opening minutes of the play off semi final against Ramsbottom. He was a regular in the 2014-15 and 2015-16 promotion winning seasons, and collected two more promotion winners’ medals.

Leon has an interesting job outside of football – he is a male model, and has travelled all over the world.

He made his 200th appearance for the club when he came on as a sub against Salford on the opening day of the 2017-18 season.
