Darlington Youth have pulled off some great results in recent matches against the Hartlepool United Academy.

Quakers, who are classed as a grassroots club, one level lower than an Academy, beat Pools at Under 15 and under 16 level earlier in the year, and this week they gave them three great matches.

The Under 9s won 6-3, the Under 11s drew 2-2, and the Under 12s lost 2-0 to two late goals. Director of Youth Paul Thomas said; “Considering they are a full time Academy with contracted players, we have done better than them.”

The youth teams are now building up for the start of their league season in early September.
