The Under 8s produced another good performance, this week against Coxhoe United.

The squad was missing two consistent performers in Harry Lambert and Charlie Cole, both missing their first games of the season. The absent pair allowed a chance for Lewis Coleman to play his first game for the club, and he scored on his debut!

Logan Williams returned to the side with a very strong performance, winning the majority of the battles in the centre of the park. It was also a scoring return for the young forward, enjoying a brace which means he has scored in every game he has played.

Keeper Zach Judson had another great game with some important saves. Twice in the first half with the game level, the Coxhoe striker was through on goal, but both times the young shot stopper denied him. Late in the second half he was again able to deny the Coxhoe striker with a good save down to his left.

Man of the match went to a very deserving Jay Bradley. The young striker claimed his second hat trick in successive games. Late in the second half he produced a goal of the season contender. After picking the ball up in his own half, he advanced into the opposition’s half before unleashing a twenty yard left footed strike into the top corner, a goal which received praise from both touchlines.
