Here, Alan Heseltine swopped e mails with Ray Simpson from Canada.

I am from Calgary, Alberta Canada. I have been a long time fan of Darlo ever since I was a young boy growing up there. I remember going down to Feethams ground with my father and with friends from the mid 60's through to the late 70's before moving to Canada with my family. I still follow the club through the website and you tube

I remember my first game was some cup game I think, I know there was a big crowd for it but I'm not sure who the team was Darlo were playing. I went with my father and I would be around 8 or 9 years old at the time so 1968 or 1969 ish, and I remember the excitement of the fans and thought it was such big time.

The player that comes to my mind was John Peverell also Alan Sproates, sad to hear he passed away.

Most of the rest of the games were mid 70's to around 1980 so not a lot to shout about really, but I just tried to support the team whenever I could, and I have followed since moving to Canada. One player I ended up paying attention to was Jason De Vos who is Canadian and is a commentator over here for the Premier League show on weekends now.
