We’d like to give a warm welcome back tomorrow to Tamworth midfielder Aman Verma, who played a key role in our FA Trophy win at Wembley in 2011.

Aman joined us in November 2010 on loan from Leicester City, and made 34 appearances for us over the rest of that season, and played in every game in that Trophy run, making a big contribution with his goals.

He scored seven times for us, three of them in the Trophy – in the 3-2 home win over Tamworth in the first round, (in front of a crowd of 432!),  the 4-1 home win over Bath City in the second round, and the 3-0 away win at Telford United in the third round. Only Liam Hatch scored more goals than him in the Trophy run.

Aman came on as a first half sub at Wembley, replacing the injured Gary Smith. After the Wembley celebrations, he returned to his parent club Leicester City.

Since then, he has played for Kettering, Floriana, Stockport, Corby, Kidderminster and Torquay, before joining Tamworth in the summer.
