Darlington travel to Warrington Town this weekend, as we come to a pivotal point in the season.

With just seven games to go everything is still to play for with four teams all still holding realistic title ambitions.

Following our back-to-back victories this week over Prescot Cables and New Mills confidence has returned to the side going into our tough run in.

Our 5-1 victory at New Mills on Monday saw attacking players David Dowson, Graeme Armstrong, Stephen Thompson and Nathan Cartman all get on the score sheet which will boost all of their confidence.

Unfortunately results elsewhere were not kind to us, leaving us still three points behind league leaders Salford with a game in hand.

Adam Mitchell and Liam Hatch will return to Martin Gray’s squad at the weekend, however, Alan White will still be out through suspension.

On the opening day of the season at Heritage Park the Quakers led 2-0 when the referee could not continue through injury, leading to the game being abandoned. The league ultimately ruled in our favour giving us the 2-0 victory and fining Warrington.

Warrington have had an indifferent season, however, they did have an incredible run in the FA Cup in which they made it all the way to the second round, beating Exeter City live on tv in the first round.

Unfortunately they have been unable to match this form in the league and follow up on their third placed finish last season. In their last seven league games they have lost four times against, Mossley, Farsley, New Mills and Spennymoor.

Looking ahead to the fixture manager Martin Gray said "Saturday is another big game against a very good team. It's unfortunate that their great FA Cup run took a toll on their league position. If that hadn't happened, I'm sure that they would have been in the top three.

"They're a very well-managed club, and they've improved in recent weeks. They had a good win the league cup in midweek, so we will give them every respect."
