We were the only winners out of the top seven on Saturday, as we moved back into a play-off place following victory over Brackley Town. Stephen Thompson scored the only goal of the game in the second half, as we moved above Halifax and Stockport County.

AFC Fylde scored two late goals to dramatically earn a point against fellow promotion chasers Kidderminster Harriers. Ryan Croasdale and Keith Lowe scored in the first half to put Harriers in control. However, Dan Bradley pulled one back for Fylde with eight minutes left and Matt Blinkhorn made it 2-2 in the seventh minute of stoppage time.  The result leaves Fylde 11 points clear at the top of the table with just eight games remaining.

Salford City were also held at home, as they drew 1-1 with play-off chasing Stockport County. Danny Lloyd gave County the lead after just 13 minutes, but Richie Allen equalised for the Ammies from the penalty spot.

Chorley missed the chance to move up to second after a 2-1 defeat at Harrogate Town. Joe Leesley gave Harrogate the lead from the penalty spot and Simon Ainge doubled the lead after 38 minutes. Jack Sampson pulled one back for Chorley before half-time, but they were not able to get the equaliser.

Halifax Town dropped out of the top five after defeat at home to Gloucester City. Joe Hanks scored the only goal of the game for Gloucester from the penalty spot with fifteen minutes left.

Tamworth still have an outside chance of gaining a play-off place after a 1-0 win at home to Gainsborough Trinity.  Dan Newton scored his 20th goal of the season in the 35th minute for Tamworth.

Altrincham and Stalybridge Celtic held each other to a 0-0, a result which does little to help either side with both stranded at the foot of the table.

Worcester City are only out of the relegation on goal difference after a 2-0 defeat at home to Boston United. Adam Chapman and Louis Briscoe scored the goals for the Pilgrims in the first 45 minutes.

Bradford Park Avenue moved away from trouble after a 3-1 win away to Telford United. Wayne Brooksby scored a hat-trick for Bradford including two late goals, Lee Hughes had levelled at one stage for Telford.

Alfreton also helped their survival hopes with a 2-1 victory over FC United of Manchester. Sam Smith scored early on for the hosts, with George Thomson levelling for FC United just after the break. However, Wes Atkinson won the game for Alfreton with 13 minutes left.

The final game on Saturday saw Curzon Ashton come from behind at home to Nuneaton Town. Ashley Chambers gave Nuneaton the lead after just two minutes, but goals from Matt Warburton and Joe Guest turned the match in Curzon’s favour.
