Phil Turnbull scored his first ever goal for Darlington, as we sealed a 2-0 victory over Gloucester City. Nathan Cartman had given us the lead in the 82nd minute, before Turnbull scored in stoppage time. The result moved us back up into the play-off places and fourth position.

None of the top four before today were in league action, but Tamworth slipped out of the play-offs after a 6-2 defeat at home to Halifax Town who are now only three points off the top five themselves.  Halifax were 4-0 up at half time thanks to two goals from Richard Peniket, along with strikes from Matty Kosylo and Adam Morgan. Aaron Opoku pulled a goal back for Tamworth, before further goals from Kosylo and Morgan sealed victory. Andrew Burns scored a late consolation for the hosts.

Harrogate Town picked up a 1-0 victory over Bradford Park Avenue, Simon Ainge scored the only goal of the game for Town after 10 minutes.

Worcester City and FC United of Manchester held each other to a 0-0 draw which moved FC United up one place to 12th.

AFC Telford came from behind to win at home to Curzon Ashton. Niall Cummins put the visitors in front, but a Josh Wilson double and a goal from Eddie Jones sealed a 3-1 win for Telford.

Gainsborough Trinity held off a late fight back from bottom of the table Altrincham to pick up a crucial three points. Ashley Worsfold scored twice, along with a goal from Noel Burdett, which put Trinity in control. Goals in the final ten minutes from Andy Owens and John Cyrus gave Altrincham hope, but they couldn’t grab the equaliser as they fell to a 3-2 defeat.

In the FA Trophy, Nuneaton continued their fantastic run with a 6-0 victory over Guiseley, with Kidderminster Harriers also progressing with a 3-0 win against Ebbsfleet.

Stockport County and Brackley held each other to a 1-1 draw and will replay, but Alfreton were knocked out of the competition after a 2-1 defeat at Boreham.
