Darlington Reserves play their toughest home game yet in the Wearside League when they face Boldon CA at Eastbourne on Saturday.

The reserves, who are sixth in the table, face Boldon CA who are two places above them and challenged for the tile last season.

The reserves go into the game on the back of a 3-1 defeat at Wolviston in midweek, and joint manager Andrew Jinks said; “We’re expecting a very tough game, so we need to be better than Wednesday.

“Some of our lads need to learn quickly about playing against more experienced and physical players in the Wearside League. They also need to learn from some of the mistakes that they’ve made in recent weeks. We have played some good football at times, but we need to learn how to cope when the opposition have the ball.”

Joey Smith, James Beauchamp and Lewis Walton are all expected to return.

The game kick off at 2pm, so why not pop along, watch the reserves, and listen on Darlo Fans Radio to the first team at North Ferriby?
