On loan keeper Aynsley Pears is set to make his Darlington debut when Quakers face Chorley at Blackwell Meadows.

Pears has been signed on a month’s youth loan to deputise for James Talbot, who was dismissed in last week’s game at Alfreton, and is serving a three match ban.

And there will also hopefully be a return to the side for defender Luke Trotman, who has overcome a thigh injury.

Manager Tommy Wright, just like everyone else, is frustrated that Quakers’ efforts have only brought them one point out of the last nine, and said; “I think the lads have put in some good performances recently, but haven’t had the results to show for them.

“We’ve played York, Salford and Alfreton, and we should have picked up more than just the one point.

“But we are encouraged by our displays and we have got plenty to build on. We must though, be tighter at the back, and aim to keep a clean sheet.”

Chorley come to Blackwell Meadows in ninth place in the table, and Tommy wants as much support as possible for his players.

“We are a team; we lose, draw and win as a team and you are the twelfth man, please so roll your sleeves up, head and kick every ball with us. We are proud of you and we are trying to make you proud of us.”
