Darlington Reserves are looking to stretch their unbeaten run to three matches when they face South Shields Reserves on the 3G at Eastbourne on Saturday afternoon (kick off 2pm)

The lads have drawn with Windscale and beaten Hebburn Town Reserves in their last two outings to push themselves up to seventh place in the table, seven places and nine points ahead of Saturday’s opponents.

Joint manager Mark Fanning said; “ We’re hoping to build on our great win in our last outing against Hebburn.

“We don’t know much about South Shields, but in the past they’ve been a young side who like to play football, much like ourselves. The surface will suit both teams, so it should be quite a game.”

Lee Hume is back in the squad after the end of his loan at Billingham Synthonia, while Jamie O’Brien and James Beauchamp will hopefully return after injury. Tom Young also returns after missing last week’s game.

However, Vinny Steels and Ellis Tate are both away on County duty.
