Darlington Reserves are hoping to clinch their first win since moving back to the town when they go to Sunderland West End on Saturday.

The reserves have lost their last two matches by a single goal, and joint manager Mark Fanning believes that their first win is just around the corner.

“We’re going into the game with a much changed side but with every reason to be optimistic. We played them three weeks ago and lost 2-1 but each game we have improved and if we can do that again on Saturday then we should be capable of taking something from the game. They are a well organised side and with home advantage will be a tough nut to crack, but we have to put an end to this losing streak, hopefully Saturday.”

Youngster James O’Brien is added from the Under 18 squad, while Anth Cowie, Haydn Pace, Derek Wade and Ben Collinson are also added
