Darlington are aiming to maintain their unbeaten away record at Southport on Saturday.

Quakers have collected five points from their three away games, a return that has helped them to sixth place in the league ahead of the trip to Haig Avenue on Saturday.

There’s an interview with Martin Gray previewing Saturday’s game on the website, and also David Ferguson, who came on as a sub for three minutes in the game at Haig Avenue in 2012.

The two clubs were regular opponents in the old Football League days, and then faced each other in the Blue Square Premier in seasons 2010/11 and 2011/12.

In total, they have faced each other 92 times, with Quakers winning 34 and Southport 41, the other 17 were draws.

The last time they met was during the third administration in February 2012, with Southport coming out on top by 2-0 at Haig Avenue.

The Darlington team that day was:

Pickford, Harrison, Bagnall, Taylor, Brown, Rundle (sub Lambert 83), Keltie, Bridge-Wilkinson, McReady, Hopson (sub Ramshaw 58), Bowman (sub Ferguson 87)

Subs not used: Nixon, Gray.

Quakers have a connection with Southport – they have both been managed by Paul Futcher.

Quakers collected a point in their last game against Spennymoor on Easter Monday, Gary Brown scoring his first goal of the season in the second half.

Southport, meanwhile, suffered their first league defeat of the season last Monday at Salford, losing 2-1. They have played three home games so far, beating Boston 4-0 on the first day of the season, and then drawing 3-3 with FC United and 1-1 with York City.

They were relegated from the National League last season.

There will be coverage of the game on Darlo Fans Radio, the official website, twitter and Facebook from 2.45pm, and interviews and reaction after the game on the official website
