Quakers went out of the FA Youth Cup at the first hurdle when they were beaten at Dean Street tonight.

The lads went 2-0 down inside the first 14 minutes, but Jamie O’Brien pulled a goal back when he controlled a long ball, neatly sidestepped a defender and fired a left foot shot into the bottom corner.

However, they conceded another before half time to go into the interval 3-1 down.

They stayed in the game with some good defending, and got back to 3-2 on 75 minutes with a header by Sean Kirtley from a free kick.

But Shildon caught Quakers napping two minutes later when the centre forward fired home.
