Originally an attacking midfielder who made 177 appearances for Cambridge United scoring 14 goals,  vastly experienced Liam signed for Darlington in the summer of 2018.

A scorer for Cambridge at Wembley when they returned to the Football League by beating Gateshead 2-1 in the 2014 Conference play off final, Liam also played against Manchester United in the fourth round of the FA Cup the following year. He also played for Cambridge in the 2014 FA Trophy final when they beat Gosport Borough 4-0.

He then moved on to the Scottish Premiership with Inverness Caledonian Thistle in January 2016 and made 11 appearances for them, before returning to England and signing for Barrow, for whom he made 42 appearances in the National League.

After a brief spell at Guiseley, he then moved to Essex and joined Billericay, helping them to promotion from the Bostik League last season.

Liam can also play in the centre of defence -- he played as an emergency centre half in the 3-0 win against Telford United and was the Man of the Match, and has remained in that position. He was voted the club's player of the month in September 2018.
