Lee joined the Quakers in September 2015 from fellow Premier Division club Ramsbottom United. He arrived having scored over 100 times for his former club in two spells there. 

He made his debut for Darlington against Marine at Heritage Park in September 2015, and in his first away game, scored a hat-trick against Mickleover Sports in the 5-1 win, one of them an acrobatic volley.

He won the League's Golden boot award in season 2013-14, when he helped fire Ramsbottom to the NPL Premier Division, ironically beating Darlington along the way. He now plays up front with the League's Golden Boot winner of season 2014-15, Nathan Cartman.
