We fell to a 3-1 defeat at North East neighbours Blyth Spartans in Tommy Wright’s first game in charge of the club. Despite taking the lead through David Syers, second half mistakes cost us as we slipped to 13th in the table two points off the last playoff spot.

Harrogate remain top one point ahead of Salford after a 2-1 win at Alfreton. Joe Leesley and Jack Emmett put Harrogate in control inside the opening ten minutes. Tom Allan pulled one back for Alfreton before half time, but they were unable to grab an equaliser despite Leesley being sent off for Harrogate early in the second half.

Salford City won 2-1 at Bradford Park Avenue, but the result has been overshadowed in the news following Max Crocombe bizarre sending off in the final minutes of the game. Oliver Johnson gave Bradford the lead from the penalty spot in the first half. However, two goals in three minutes in the second period from Michael Phenix and Augustin Mafuta gave the Ammies the win.

Our next opponents Brackley Town are fourth after a 3-2 win away at struggling Boston. Andrew Brown and a double from Aaron Williams put Brackley in control of the game. Ashley Hemmings and Jay Rollins pulled goals back for the Pilgrims, but it was not enough. The game was Boston manager Adam Murray’s last in charge as he resigned within 24 hours of the game, with the side second bottom of the table.

Spennymoor are fifth and moved further ahead of sixth place Chorley with a 1-0 win over them at the Brewery Field. Andrew Johnson scoring the only goal of the game for the Brewers after 63 minutes.

Tamworth won 3-2 away to York with former Darlington man David Ferguson being sent off the Minstermen. Reece Styche scored either side of half time for Tamworth, with goals from Jon Parkin and Daniel Rowe levelling for York.  However, the ten men came out of the game with nothing as Darryl Knights scored the winner for Tamworth in injury time leaving them in the final playoff spot on goal difference.

Curzon Ashton dropped out of the top seven after defeat at Gainsborough Trinity. Ashley Worsfold scored the only goal of the game for Trinity in the 69th minute.

Kidderminster Harriers moved ahead of Stockport County after a 2-1 victory at Edgeley Park. Matthew Warburton gave Stockport the lead on the stroke of half time, but Joe Ironside scored twice for Harriers including the winner in stoppage time to move them up to tenth place.

Telford suffered injury time heartbreak at home to Southport. Marcus Dinanga scored for Telford just before half time, with Nathan Lowe earning a 1-1 draw for Southport from the penalty spot in the final minutes.

Leamington continued their good form at home to bottom of the table North Ferriby. Jack Edwards and two from Robert Thompson-Brown gave Leamington a 3-0 win.

FC United are still in the bottom three, but moved within a point of safety after a 2-1 win at home to Nuneaton Town. Jason Gilchrist and Jordan Fagbola gave FC United the lead, with Nuneaton netting a late consolation through Callum Ball.
