We picked up our biggest win of the season on Saturday at home to North Ferriby United as we continued our excellent recent form. The 6-0 win saw us move up to tenth just two points off the final playoff place and 12 ahead of the bottom three. Defeat means North Ferriby will be relegated if they fail to beat Salford on Tuesday.

The Ammies had a great weekend as they moved back to the top of the table after they won a tough game with Spennymoor while Harrogate dropped points. Carl Piergianni gave Salford an early lead before Nathan Lowe levelled for the Brewers just two minutes later. Ryan Hall gave Spennymoor the lead as they looked to be heading for an important win. However, two quick goals from Thomas Walker earned Salford the 3-2 win to see them move back into the automatic promotion place. Spennymoor remain in the last playoff spot with a large number of games in hand on everyone else in the division.

Harrogate will be disappointed to have dropped points at struggling Tamworth. George Thompson put Harrogate in front, with Connor Taylor equalising just eight minutes later for the Lambs. The 1-1 draw sees Harrogate two points behind Salford, while Tamworth are now 16th five points ahead of the drop zone.

Stockport County kept their hopes of a top seven spot alive with a 3-2 win at Gainsborough Trinity who stay second bottom. Rhys Turner gave County the lead after quarter of an hour before Nathan Jarman levelled. Adam Thomas and James Ball put Stockport in control in the second half and they held on for victory despite Nathan Stainfield’s goal 15 minutes from time.  County are ahead of us on goal difference but with three games in hand, while Trinity are three points from safety with nine games left.

Leamington picked up a huge win in their battle for survival at home to Nuneaton Town. Matthew Dodd scored the only goal for the Brakes after 34 minutes. It moved them up to 14th place in the league seven points ahead of third bottom Telford.

In the final game Boston and FC United of Manchester played out an eight goal thriller which could prove to be important for both. Reece Thomson, Jamie Mcguire and Ashleigh Hemmings put the Pilgrims 3-0 up after half an hour. Craig Lindfield and Jeff King pulled goals back for FC United, but when Hemmings grabbed his second with just 17 minutes left to make it 4-2 Boston looked set for victory. However, Gerard Garner and Lindfield both scored in the last two minutes to earn a 4-4 draw for FC United. Boston are now 15th, FC United sit 18th both still not clear of danger.
