It’s a very important time for the phase 2 fundraising of the new seated stand at Blackwell Meadows as the summer ends and the next deadline starts to loom on the horizon.

And director John Tempest is encouraging fans "to dig deep" and contribute towards the next stage. "Although results haven't gone our way these last few games we need to plan ahead. I totally understand the summer months are not the best times for fundraising, which is why we have perhaps been quiet of late. With the summer holiday period over we now ask all fans to dig deep and invest in the DFCSG funding to enable us to purchase the steel, cladding and seats. In turn that will enable us to complete the seated stand that is necessary as per the rules. I'm sure everyone agrees that no one wants to be in the same awful position that we found ourselves in last year in which we failed to deliver the extra seats.

"Yes it's a tall order, but as a fan-funded club we would like to ask all fans to contribute what they can and get the required work finished over the coming months. With the current ownership structure it's up to us as fans to deliver the funding required."

Any sponsorship queries regarding the new seated stand please contact John.tempest@darlingtonfc.org. It's a great opportunity for your company to have its name emblazoned on the stand, and get some great advertising. Your company's name can be seen by thousands of people every week, either at the game or watching our highlights packages.
