The club has been in touch with North Yorkshire Police and Durham Police about Thursday night's title winner at Whitby, and both forces report that they are "absolutely delighted" with Darlington fans.
There were no reports of any misbehaviour or violence of any description in the town or in the ground either before, during or after the game, and there wasn't any requirement for police having to step in anywhere.
Thank you everyone, you all contributed to a fantastic night.
