The game kicked off and Darlington pressed for the start, 1-2's were made up the pitch and some very good supportive play. The Whickham defence withstood several attacks and with their first attack broke though in numbers to go one up.

The lads regrouped and stated again, playing the ball around the pitch and spreading it well, again creating chances for Jack and Spenser up front. Whickham added another 2 before the break in a game in which Darlington held nearly all of the possession!

Ethan returned to the back line after a very long injury and played out of his skin again.

The lads settled into the game and took control, with some very good attacking play, at the other end Lewis pulled off a couple of finger tip saves to keep the score down, but Whickham scored again.

All in all, a score line that didn't reflected the game, as Darlington kept their shape, passed well, tackled and played 'like a team', but goals win matches unfortunately.

Keep it up lads it will come!!
