The under 9s encountered a tough game against Seaton Carew on Sunday.

Far from home and awful weather conditions, set the tone for a hard game.

Zach Judson lead the team out followed by Issac Marr and Jack Thompson in defence. Jack Shaw, Charlie Cole and Max Atkinson made up the midfield with Harry Gunnall up top.

The game was even to start with Seaton enjoying the majority of the possession. Zach Judson brilliantly managed to keep out an effort from close range. Darlington started the second half much the better team. A brilliant chance fell to Oliver English but his effort struck the cross bar. Very unfortunate. Man of the match was split this week, firstly going to Zach Judson, who bailed the team out several times during the game.

Secondly it went to Ewan Irvine who was outstanding in defence, and also making his first appearance this season. Ewan, a player who almost left the club during the summer, well and truly proved that he is still a big part of this team.

Onto next week, at home to Billingham Synners
